Red Ribbon Drug Awareness Day Draw 400 Youth

The NFL Alumni Northern California Chapter held their annual Red Ribbon Drug Awareness Day at Chapter Headquarters in Redwood City on October 26th. Close to 400 youth from schools and youth programs on the San Francisco Peninsula attended the program. Event Chair Carolyn Hoskins coordinated an exceptional group of former NFL players and coaches to speak to the kids about substance abuse and the perils of drugs and alcohol. Former 49er Eason Ramson gave an emotionally captivating self-portrait of his life as an athlete who became an addict and criminal, who has rehabilitated himself to become a leader in youth programs. Many thanks to all who supported this extraordinary day, but most of all to Carolyn Hoskins for her dedication to the cause.
