A near capacity crowd attended the NFL Alumni’s
Annual Draft Day Party at David’s Restaurant at the Santa Clara
Golf Course on NFL Draft Day, April 26, 2008.
The event hosted by the Northern California Chapter, began early
in Coach Bill Walsh’s career as he walked across the street
in Redwood City and spoke with a small number of local alumni.

This year’s event was Co chaired by associate
members Diane Kneis and Carolyn Hoskins and featured Chapter President
Steve Kinney with other former players Larry Schreiber, Gordy Soltau,
Frank Nunley, Larry Bates, Allan Kennedy, Tyronne Gross and many
more.
Former Oakland Raider Jeremy Brigham and the incomparable
Mr. C In Heaven handled MC duties for the evening, which included
a special video presentations on the NFL Alumni, Coach Bill Walsh
and a replay of the 1981 NFL Title game between the 49ers and Dallas
Cowboys.
Coach Mike Nolan arrived shortly after making
the second pick in the draft and spoke to the group about the organization’s
excitement over both the draft picks and off-season acquisitions.
Nolan then answered numerous questions from the
crowd, before posing for photographs and signing autographs.
A great time was had by all.
