Members from the NFL Alumni Northern California Chapter brought holiday cheer to the Oakland Children's Hospital on December 16, 2008.

Chapter President Steve Kinney, former Oakland Raiders Gary Weaver and Jarrod Cooper, former Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Merriweather and Henry “Model T” Ford, and former 49ers Gordy Soltau brought bears, toys, notebooks and smiling faces to the youngsters.

County of Alameda Superior Court Judge Trina Thompson, and several representatives of FedEx joined the Alumni group.

The mission of the NFL Alumni is Caring for Kids, and the annual pilgrimage to the Children's Hospital during the holiday season is one of the most gratifying of all the projects the Alumni works on during the year.

It is our most sincere wish that all of these beautiful children find health and healing in the coming year.
