The NFL Alumni Northern California
Chapter held the 12th Annual Jerry Rice 127 Foundation Toy Drive Saturday,
December 9, 2006, at their Redwood City Headquarters.
Close to five hundred children, teenagers and adults joined football
legend Jerry Rice as he posed for photographs with all who brought presents
for needy children.
NFL Alumni members Gordy Soltau, Jerry Mertens, Allan Kennedy, Tom Coombs,
Fred Sosa and Eason Ransom joined the festivities and added to the holiday
cheer.
Major sponsors included
Intero Real Estate San Carlos, The Saddllerack in Pleasanton and
many local merchants.
The first two hundred children received official NFL Christmas stockings.
Hundreds of toys will be donated to The Shelter Network in San Mateo,
Western Addition Beacon Center, Milika House in East Palo, Day Top Adolescent
Center and several other worthy charities.
Jackie and Jerry Rice drew several
hundred people to the Jerry Rice 127 Foundation 127 Toy Drive on Saturday,
December 9 at the NFL Alumni Northern California Headquarters in Redwood
City.
