Dear Participants and Sponsors:

As President of the NFL Alumni Northern California Chapter, I thank you for your generous support in our mission, Caring for Kids. The NFL Alumni member players are bound by a shared experience, and the unique character of our organization is that our retired NFL players desire to be role models to help others, especially young people.

Every young person, both boys and girls, has dreams of becoming an outstanding professional adult someday. As a boy, I too experienced these dreams and was fortunate to have an NFL career. This passion to play professional football continued throughout my high school and college years. In all of these years the sports were great, but hard wok is required to be a scholar athlete and achieve the best possible academic standard.

With these dreams and hard work both on the athletic field and in the classroom, I became a San Francisco 49er. For this I feel very good about passing on the dreams to our youngsters today, that they too can fulfill their dreams with the desire and passion to accomplish their goals.

Thanks again for your desire to help others and thank you for your commitment to our mission of Caring for Kids.
